Yarn and Wool!
Even if you aren't visiting the museum to see Christina's artwork, treat yourself and your family by spending the day at the Ballenberg outdoor museum.
Going along with the theme of this event, Christina will be offering a selection of Swiss natural landscapes and farm-life related wool paintings for sale. Check the Instagram account, @serramakesthings for a taste of what to expect! The museum park offers restaurants and plenty of picnic benches along the tree-lined walking paths. Several of the old houses and buildings showcase historic everyday artifacts, like traditional costumes, daily wear and household goods. The museum has a daily, varied rotating schedule of events, where visitors can watch how things were made before the industrial age, such as spinning flax/wool into yarn, weaving, blacksmithing, hatmaking, ropemaking and more. This year, the Market and Sponser appreciation day both fall on the Saturday. The Artisan Market Is happening on both Saturday and Sunday. It is one of Christina's favorite museums in Switzerland! |
